ATTORNEYS

MARK A. RASSAS, a “Mid-South Super Lawyer,” maintains an active trial practice, with a concentration in personal injury claims, business and general litigation, contested divorces/custody matters and divorce mediation.

He has over thirty years of trial experience and was one of the first State and Nationally Certified Trial Lawyers in Tennessee*. He has been named as a Mid-South Super Lawyer in the area of general litigation, for four consecutive years. He is rated “A” by Martindale-Hubbell.

He has served as State President of the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates, a “by invitation only” organization representing the most experienced trial lawyers in the country. He is also the past President of the Montgomery County Bar Association and has served as Vice Chairman of the Military Law and Federal Tort Claims Section of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. Mr. Rassas is also a fellow of the Tennessee Bar Foundation.

For almost 30 years, Mr. Rassas has served in the United States Army Reserve, Judge Advocate Generals Corps (JAG), attaining the rank of Colonel. During Operation Desert Storm, he was Chief of Legal Assistance for the 101st Airborne Division. He is a graduate of the Air Assault School. His military duties have included assignments at the Pentagon, Admission Liaison Officer for the United States Military Academy at West Point, Mobilization Chief of Operations Law, Forces Command, 21st TAACOM, and 1st Infantry Division, Germany, and he currently teaches in the ROTC Department, Austin Peay State University.



JULIA P. NORTH received her Bachelor of Science Degree from Eastern Michigan University and her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Detroit. She served on the University of Detroit Moot Court Board of Directors, as well as participating in the Urban Law Clinic and London Law Program. Mrs. North served as clerk to the Honorable Judge Judith James Wood, Washtenaw County Probate Court, and as an Attorney Advisor at the Fort Eustis Legal Assistance Office. She is admitted to practice in both Michigan and Tennessee.

Mrs. North maintains an active practice in Wills and Estates (including will contests), Adoptions, Conservatorships, Appellate Practice, and Social Security Disability claims. She is routinely appointed by the local Probate Court to serve in the capacity of Guardian Ad Litem and Attorney Ad Litem in contested matters.

Mrs. North has served as an officer in the Montgomery County Bar Association and maintains membership in the Tennessee Bar Association, the State Bar of Michigan and the American Bar Association.

Mrs. North is an Adjunct Professor in the Political Science at Austin Peay State University, teaching classes in Women in the Law, Family Law and Constitutional Law.


BLAISE E. FERRARACCIO (of counsel) is a medical doctor and an attorney, and understands both the legal and medical aspects of a case. While he maintains a full-time medical practice as a neurologist, he assists the firm in injury claims and complex litigation.

Dr. Ferraraccio received his medical degree from George Washington University School of Medicine and health Sciences in Washington, D.C. He received his doctor of jurisprudence from the Nashville School of Law in Nashville, Tennessee.

He is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Neurology, American Bar Association, American College of Legal Medicine, and the Tennessee Bar Association.


TED A. CROZIER, JR is a graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point and the Nashville School of Law. Ted is retired from the United States Army after a distinguished career, which included training as an Airborne Ranger and various overseas assignments.

Ted has worked for the Tennessee Department of Corrections and has served as the Extradition Officer for the State of Tennessee.

Ted is the son of former Clarksville Mayor, Ted Crozier, who also served as the Chief of Staff of the 101st Airborne Division. Mr. Crozier was appointed as Clerk and Master of the Montgomery County Chancery Court in January of 2005. Even though he is no longer associated with the firm, the attorneys of Rassas, North & Associates continue to service Mr. Crozier’s former clients.


WALDO RASSAS attended Columbia University and received his Bachelor of Law Degree from St. John's University in New York City. He was originally admitted to practice in the State of New York. Following World War II, he was admitted to practice before the Supreme Court of Tennessee and actively practiced in Clarksville for over 50 years. He retired in 1996 and died in 2001.
